This photography project was done in 2020 by Afshin Ariafar.
Speculation about the presence of paint on the surfaces of Persepolis sculptures has always been discussed.
Doing this method of photography has created a new window into research on this subject.
Changing the nature of colors that are based on natural elements and remain under the sedimentary layers over time can become fluorescent and glow under ultraviolet light.
This photographs was taken for the first time by scanning and searching the surfaces of Persepolis motifs and has resulted in amazing discovery.
This will be the beginning of a series of detailed studies on the designs of Persepolis and other collections of ancient monuments.
In this way, it is necessary to use the knowledge of spectroscopy as well as sciences related to the recognition of minerals to the type of colors and their representation.
